Basketball rules

The rules of basketball were born on the day it was first played in 1891. The international rules of basketball are regulated by the Technical Commission of the International Basketball Association. Most leagues, including the NBA forum(National Basketball Association), govern by their own rules.

The main purpose of basketball is to score more points by placing the ball in the resistance curve, which is located three meters from the ground. At the end of the game, the team wins with the most points. Leisure and high school games last 32 minutes, college and international games last forty minutes, female professional games last forty minutes and male professional games last 42 minutes.

The judges on the field are administrators of the rules of basketball. A basketball team consists of five players. A game begins with a 'jumping ball' in the middle of the court, where the referee throws the ball into the air and two players from each team line up in the middle of the court and try to aim the ball at one of his teammates.

According to basketball rules, the team that owns the ball plays offensively, and the opposition plays defense and protects its basket. The offensive team has a set time, usually thirty-five seconds to score as the ball passes through the resistance curve. The player who owns the ball cannot run or walk with the ball without dribbling (bouncing the ball to the ground). When the player stops dribbling, the ball must be sent or shot, or it must be touched by another player before the original player can retrieve the ball.

According to the basketball rules, there are two ways to score points; The first is to make a basket worth 2 or 3 points, depending on the distance of the shot. The other way is to score a free kick or free kick awarded to a player when the opposition commits a personal or technical wrong. Ball possession alternates when the offensive score or when the defense manages to win the ball. When the offensive team misses a shot, the ball is free and all players have the same opportunity to recover the ball, called a rebound.
